Paolo Ferrero - National Secretary PRC/EL

Climate: Sarkozy is right, Berlusconi is wrong

The Government only grants protection to the interests of industry businessmen who are polluting the environment

The French President Sarkozy is right when he talks about climate and Berlusconi is wrong. The current EU president has explained today, in front of the European Parliament, that there is no reason able to justify a change in the European commitments on climate, due to the economical crisis, stating the contrary of what has been declared by Italy, always more isolated in Europe.

There is only one truth: Berlusconi is not defending the national interest nor the ones of the Italian workers as he declares, but the interests of private industries and industrial businessmen, exactly as he is defending the ones of banks and bankers. The rest are only words.

Facts are implemented by businessmen as Riva, master of Ilva’s industry in Taranto, who is making profits on workers shoulders. Workers that are getting sick with lung diseases among other, while industry’s profits are doubling workers’ wage.

Berlusconi, is playing on citizens and workers health, granting protection to all Italian industries that are looking only to profits, polluting and making sick persons and workers.
